turkey is our girl’s favorite raw protein, she would not eat this at all! when she finally did licked it, she did so once and that was it. I went and smelled her food after that and it smelled horrid, like spoiled rotten meat!! Then i remembered the 2 rolls of this was not even frozen when we got it and nothing else in box was unfrozen at all so i do question wether these were bad before being shipped out or went bad during shipment since they were not frozen and only two small gel packs were in box. I froze the other when we got box and defrosted it today and sure enough it smells like death too.. oddly the meat overall really doesn’t look spoiled so perhaps one of the add-ins were bad. who knows but, i won’t be able to bring myself to order this again that is for sure, that smell is hard to get out of your mind.. She did LOVE all the other PMR grinds we got to try out, especially the duck one.

I just gave my allergic pup this last night. No odor and she loved it.

I buy this monthly for my dogs, never had an issue with spoiled meat smell. I think some people forget this is more than ground turkey meat in this mix, there’s heart, liver & gizzards which does give it more of smell than the ground turkey you’d buy at the grocery store. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because occasional I will get a slightly freezer burnt tube of meat, no big deal, the dogs could care less & still chow down on it! Also, never had a problem with severe melting of product during shipping, in July or August, I may get a couple tubes of meat with slightly thawed ends but its to be expected when it’s 85 degrees out. I put them into the freezer, refreeze & never had an issue.

My dogs love this stuff. Never have digestive issues, and they always want to eat. Great for my pitbull that has protein allergies.

This is my cat’s main dish, I never have any problems with her on this. I also use it for dog. It seems a bit bone dence so I usually use a portion of it with other muscle meats and their stools are not as clalky.

I like the turkey PMR because this makes a quick meal for my dogs. I typically feed a BARF diet so when I use this PMR mix I add in my veggie blend and some oil. I do think this blend is more bone content that my dogs are accustomed to, so I do add a bit of plain ground turkey to their meals when I feed this. It’s a great price point and I still have a couple rolls in my freezer waiting to be used.

Prefer the HVM mixes, but glad the PMR are available as a backup. The dogs are fine with either!

This was our first order, and our first try with PMR blends. We usually go the DIY route, but we’re going to rotate this in to add variety and speed up the meal prep process on occasion. Currently mixing the beef, chicken, turkey, and pork then adding additional nutrients to fill the gaps. It would be very helpful to have an idea of percentages of each organ within the 15% organ mix since, as an example, liver and heart have very different profiles. Planning to call them and ask for that information before ordering again. But, so far, our dog seems to like the meats. If it’s possible to “update” my review with that information I will do that.
