  1. Marion

I have been feeding my dogs this HVM for a few years and they absolutely love it! I buy the 5 lb chubs and thaw them just enough to cut into 1/2 lb servings and refreeze; then thaw what they need per meal twice a day. My dogs have beautiful coats, clean healthy teeth, are active and at a healthy weight. I am so happy to have such great options available to feed my dogs the best food possible, and the delivery is so close to my house!

TQDF has been feeding my dogs since December 2011 and the difference it has made in my dogs lives is incredible! I do the same as the previous reviewer and the Vet & staff are always amazed at how beautiful their coat, skin & teeth. We feed ALL the HVM’s, assorted choices of chicken feet, beef neck bones and organ meat. Thanks for making the drive to New Hampshire to give our dogs Top Quality food & keep up the good work!

First time purchase. My 2 yorkies love this!! I will continue to buy!

My two Springer’s absolutely love this mix. They stand by the refrigerator door when they know this is what is thawed in the rotation. I also purchase the 5 lb chubs and process them the same way that Marion from the above review does. Partially thawed makes portioning a breeze.

My German Shorthaired Pointers devour this Turkey HVM. To anyone with dogs that have trouble digesting food, my dogs always digest this very well, and the stool is very firm. Grateful to have TQD.

Great stuff my dog is obsessed! I love the HVM meals because is has everything already in it.

  7. monibox (verified owner)

My pup loves the turkey mix, licks the bowl clean most times. I deducted one star only because the bone content seems to be a bit high and I usually end up adding in some sardines or the like to even out the mix a bit to not get a constipated pup. But still, overall, this seems to be a really healthy and lean option.

My Shepherd/Lab loves everything we have tried. We are customers for ever now.

My pit mix who is sensitive to beef/chicken loves the turkey!!! Only thing that gets him to stop itching.

  10. ChyRisse Poag (verified owner)

My poodle loves the turkey hvm. If I take too long preparing his food, he gets extremely feisty and barks to encourage my speed. He licks the bowl long after his food is gone.

  11. Sarah Elizabeth (verified owner)

Love the HVM grinds! My two boxers love them also!

  12. Vincent Bregman (verified owner)

My English bulldog loves this grind!

    My mini Aussie love this!

When I adopted my rescue hound-mix, her gut was wrecked from a severe case of intestinal parasites. Thanks to relentless treatment, she’s long since been parasite-free but one lasting side-effect has been sensitive dietary allergies. The only meat that does not cause her irritation is turkey…clean, quality turkey meat. My sweet girl devours her Turkey HVM meals. Not only is she pleased with this product but I, too, have been pleased with the quality.

    Logistical information:

Shipping: Most often, the delivery is true to the estimated time given at check-out. Be cautious and mindful around holidays as that most likely will delay the delivery. If you find yourself without meat due to this delay, consider picking up meat from the grocery store (like uncooked turkey necks from Kroger and provide fruits and veggies as a supplement). The chubs will come in a large plastic bag within the cardboard shipping box and they will be shipped with either dry ice or large gel ice packs.

Packaging: The meat will come in a plastic wrapped tube that is pinched on both ends. Often, you’ll see a little meat sticking out of the end. Sometimes the chubs might have a tiny hole punctured in the plastic somewhere along the chub.

Prep and Insight: When I prep the meat, I’ll take two chubs out of the freezer and lay them on a cookie sheet to catch and contain the blood if it leaks out. The cookie sheet with the chubs go in the refrigerator to thaw. Once thawed, I carefully pull the cookie sheet out of the fridge (often there’s a pool of blood under the packaged chubs). I use a knife to slice open the chub. Then, I portion the meat according to my dogter’s weight. I share my process to give you insight into what you can expect and an idea to try if you’d like. Do what works best for you and your fur babe.

My dog loves this food! This is by far my dog’s favorite raw food and it helps him maintain an ideal weight, healthy coat, playful energy and it mitigates digestive issues he’s had on other foods.

Top Quality Dog Food’s Turkey HVM, along with their Beef version, has become a staple in my dog’s diet. The combination of ground turkey, organs, and a mix of fruits and vegetables ensures a balanced and nutritious meal. I appreciate the high quality of antibiotic and hormone-free ingredients, and my dog loves the variety. Since incorporating both options, I’ve seen positive changes in his overall health and energy levels. Highly recommended for pet owners looking for top-notch raw feeding options!
