An expertly blended mix of antibiotic-free ground pork heart, pork liver, and pork kidney. Pork heart is a natural source of taurine, which is an essential nutrient for cats. While dogs can produce their own taurine, it can be beneficial to incorporate into their diets especially for dogs with existing heart conditions. Should be fed as organ and combined with other ingredients to create a balanced diet. Suitable for both dogs and cats.

Pork heart contains thiamine, phosphorus, b vitamins, iron, and taurine. Pork kidney contains b vitamins and selenium. Beef liver contains preformed vitamin A.

A copper supplement may be required with this product if ruminant liver is not included in the diet.

I use this as an organ source (obviously) as I DIY my dog’s food. Much easier than having to deal with whole organs. I just poke a small hole in the end of the tube and I can squeeze it into the containers during prep through the hole, kind of like a piping bag. Very convenient. Just wish they told you what percentage heart/liver/kidney was in it.

For those that don’t know, organs are very loose when ground so the heart, although it’s a muscle meat, is added to try and stabilize the mixture (or at least I assume that’s why. Heart is great to feed regardless).

It is important to feed organs as they are very nutritious. This is the easy way to get some liver and kidney (plus heart) into my pups diet. I like 1lbs tubes and portion them when still half frozen.
